It's raining

And so it has done for the last few days. And yesterday I did the big misstake to not bring an umbrella to school. And of course I was surprised by the rain at least twice. Of course my jacket isn't waterproof at all, so all my clothes are still soaking wet.

But my amazingly kind mother actually bought me a new raincoat from Cornwall (actually I don't know why..) And I love it!

When the light shines through

Today, lots of bad things happens every day. Every day someone dies, every day there are people that gives up because they have nothing left to live for.

The way that the police and the military are searching for terrorists isn't so far from how they did search for witches in Sweden during the 17th century. Racism and hate are spread all over the world.

USA are involved in two wars in Asia, and in many places all around the world, the citizens aren't treated as humans at all.

Theese are things that never should happen in a perfect world.

But what we have to do today is not to say "Ok, it's over now, we give up." It doesn't work that way. Right now we have to show ourselves and thoose in charge that there are still things to do, we can still make a choise.

As long as there are people that continues to fight for human rights, as long as we let a candle burn in our hearts to keep out all the darkness, there is still hope for tomorrow.

I belive that we can do all this together..

I survived the first day at school. It feels good that everything is going back to normal again. And because of that I went out in our garden to play with my camera.. (:

Octopus hair

One of the first things my dad said about my hair was "You look like an octopus!"...

Just before school starts

Next tuesday school starts again. I admit that it's a bit scary, but I look forward to it. Soon I'll have lots of things to do, but not yet. So a few days ago me and brother went to a friend of mine and had a wonderful lunch and some tea and cinnamon buns afterwards.

Today's activities

Today it's one of thoose lazy days in the end of the holiday, just before school starts. It's still more than a week left, but it feels very short. And in theese lazy days there isn't much to do really. So I'm spending some time together with my knitting and a good book. And of course a big cup of green tea with way too much honey in it, to take care of my throat.

I really like the colours of this yarn, hopefully it'll make a good pair of socks..

World Scout Jamboree 2011

This sunday I came home from a wonderful jamboree. It was 12 days in the south of Sweden, with some of the most wonderful people on earth.

The activities and ceremonies where great, but the most important thing, and the one that I'll always remember is all the new people I've met there. To see all different cultures meet at the same place at once, to visit the Faith and Beliefs area, where all religions stood together, side by side was fantastic. To listen to stories from different people all arond the world was amazing.

It's certainly one of the best things I've done in my life.
